Kondapalli
Fort, Vijayawada
The fort is located 16 km away
towards West from Vijayawada
City and is built on a hill.
Prolaya Vema Reddy, constructed
this fort during 14th Century.
Later came under the rule of the
Qutubshahis who strengthened and
eloborated by adding new
structures.
Near the fort, there is a Dargah
of a Persian Saint, Gareeb
Saheeb. A legend goes that the
palace women and the saint were
always at loggerheads. Unable to
bear the trouble, the queen of
the palace ordered the beheading
of the Saint. Even after he was
beheaded the Saint fought
valiantly and dragged the fort
soldiers to a distance of 20 km
without his head.

Kondaveedu
Kondaveedu is located 25 Kms
from Guntur . This historical
fort was built during the reign
of the Reddy kings in 14th
century A.D. there are 21
structures in the fort . The
ruins of the fort located on the
hilltop offer unraveled
mysteries to the tourist. A
place of natural scenic beauty
with natural wonders it is an
ideal place for trekking. The
Gopinatha temple and Kathulabave
at the foot of the hillock,
numerous temples, residential
structures, pillared halls on
the hill and the entrance gate

Kota
Gullu
Kota Gullu in Ghanpur, have
impressive temple architecture
of the Kakatiyas consisting of
about 20 temples in various
designs and sizes. Locally known
as "Kota Gullu", the temple
complex is a veritable museum of
the Kakatiya temple architecture
built during the 13th century
A.D. The main temple is
dedicated to ganapesvara.
It is believed that Ghanpur got
its name from the illustrious
King Ganapatideva who ruled
between 1199-1260 A.D. Exposed
to the vagaries of nature and
continuous battles, the temple
complex is in a dilapidated
condition but speaks volumes of
the architectural proficiency of
the Kakatiyas. Now the temples
are being renovated by the Dept.
of Archaeology.

Kurnool
Fort, Kurnool
Located in the heart of Kurnool
& believed to be built by the
Raja's of Vijayanagara. Konda
Reddy Buruju was a part ofKumool
fort & was used as a prison.
One revolutionary Konda Reddy
attained martydom in this
prison. Since then the place is
known as Konda Reddy Buruju.
Other interesting places to see
in & around Kumool are the Gol
Gumbaz, Church, Shirdi Sai baba
temple and Jagannatha Gutta.
