Accommodation

Lahore offers a variety of accommodation in all price categories. From hotels conforming to the highest international standard and belonging to international chains—with a corresponding price tag to the modestly priced hostels, can all be found in the centre of the city. Compared with similar accommodation in Europe and North America, even the most well-known offer good value for money.

The selection of hotel or accommodation should be carried out carefully, depending upon your planned activities in the city. Almost all the expensive hotels are in close proximity to each other and may not be within walking distance to the main shopping or commercial areas. The more moderately priced hotels are spread all over the city, some of which you will find closer to the Walled City, shopping and/or commercial districts. Tourists might find the bazaars of greater interest while for commercial travellers access to the business district may be a priority.

In the case of hotels which are of international standard or belong to international chains, it is advisable to make prior reservation, since they may be fully booked. Be particularly careful during the Basant Festival in mid-February when almost the whole world descends on Lahore. These hotels are centrally air-conditioned and offer 24-hour room service.
