Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is the best source of free information within the country. Since its network is spread in all cities of Pakistan, it can provide detailed information to tourists regarding all cities, including Karachi. It is also a good idea to consult it if you wish to find out about national holidays, festivals and national cultural events. In case you wish to travel outside Karachi, this is the organization which will provide you with information about tours and trips, accommodation and transport. Additionally, PTDC can also provide you with brochures on areas of tourist interest in various parts of the country. A ptdc Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is located in PIA Cargo Building, Club Road (tel. 920-2971). Open: Monday to Saturday 9:00 am-6:00 pm, with a prayer break on Friday from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm.
