Climate
Karachi's weather is
hot and humid,
although evenings
are generally
pleasant due to the
evening breezes from
the sea. For a visit
to Karachi the best
months are normally
between October and
February with
daytime temperatures
varying from 15° to
20°C (60° to 70°F),
although you could
encounter some hot
days in October.
There is plenty of
sunshine all the
year round of course
and the hottest
months are from
April to October
when the
temperatures could
be 35° to 45°C (100°
to 115°F).
Although there is
little rain—an
annual average of
9.7 mm, the actual
rainfall at any one
time may vary,
sometimes going up
to 750 mm. Most
rainfall is during
the monsoon months
of July and August,
which accounts for
high humidity at
that time; however,
it is not unusual to
encounter rain
during winter months
as well.
To all appearances
Karachi is a little
barren. Although
efforts are afoot to
increase vegetation
and trees, a lack of
water hinders
large-scale
horticultural
ventures.
Holidays
All religious
holidays are based
on the lunar
calendar and the

in any particular
calendar year. A
list of national

given; however, if

business visit to
Pakistan, it is
advisable to check
with Pakistan
Embassy for any

declared by the
