General Information, Climate

Lahore, with an area of approximately 500 km square, a population of over 6 million, is situated at an elevation of 213 meters above sea level. It is hot in summer and cold in winter. For a visit to Lahore the best months are between October and March with daytime temperatures varying from 15° to 20°C (60° to 70°F). There is plenty of sunshine all the year round of course and the hottest months are from April to October when the temperatures could be 35° to 45°C (100°toll5°F).

Most rainfall is during the monsoon months of July and August, which accounts for high humidity at that time.

The best time to visit Lahore is during the spring when flowers bloom by the wayside; large trees, that line the main streets of Lahore, providing a pleasant and welcoming entry to the city.
