Bharatpur is a city in central-south Nepal. It is the district headquarters of the Chitwan District and has a population of 89,323 (2001 census).

Bharatpur lies in adjacent with another bigger town, Narayangarh. These towns make up Bharatpur Municipality. Though most of the shopping districts lie in Narayangarh, Bharatpur is full of government offices, big hospitals and colleges.It is the place where nation's premier cancer hospital namely called as B.P Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital lies.


Bharatpur Airport is in the central part of the town.

Two major local FM radio stations also broadcast from Bharatpur.The town has also its own TV channnel called Beso Channel.

Hakim Chowk and Chaubis Kothi are two major centres forming intersection of major roads.
